Hobby Horse Competitions

I have tried to be open minded about this so called "sport". I just can not. The people that enjoy running around pretending to be show horses with a stick pony between their legs have lost their minds. They hold competitions in gymnasiums and set up courses that they run around. It is weird. I do suppose it is a healthy thing to do as far as hobbies go. As for the care and maintenance of a stick pony, it is much less expensive than taking care of a real horse. Enjoy this video. Dare you not to laugh!

The adventure in Hawaii

This march break I went to Hawaii. In Hawaii I did many fun and thrilling things, including, my mom and I went horseback riding. It was a blast and we had so much fun until, some tourists decided it would be a good idaea to walk right where we were about to galep. 'Lucky' for my mom and I, we were riding the horses that know where they are supposed to galep and so we had to hold them back until the tourists got out of the way, and let me tell you it was very nerve wracking and exhilarating. I can't wait to have another amazing adventure in Hawaii.

Sophia's Horse Life

Today I will be writing about my friend Sophia. ''I have been riding for as long as I can remember. It makes me feel free, happy and as if I am one with the horse. I had a horse named Viper for 7 years and I loved riding him twice a week." Unfortunately, since Viper was the family horse and Sophia's sister Steffanie was going of to University and was not having enough time to ride him.

'' I was very sad and cried when we sold him, but in my heart I knew that he would be happier and better off with someone who could care for him and ride him everyday", says Sophia. She showed at competitions and enjoyed them very much. Sophia is a amazing rider and friend and can't wait till she gets back on a horse.

Sweet treats for your pony!

Today, I will be posting about how to make an easy horse treat recipe. I found this on the internet and tried it already! My horse really enjoyed it. If you have a horse or you just want to make them for the horse your riding I really recommend these.

The Move.

As you know, for the past three years I rode at Baywolf Stables. Unfortunately, it was sold. The people that bought Baywolf kindly invited us to stay and we accepted. After a while, the new owners had settled in but now there wasn't a lot of riding space and it was making everyone frustrated and annoyed.  My coach, Michelle understood and started looking for other places to board her horses. She soon found a place called Hunt Valley Stables. It has two outdoor rings and one indoor ring. Unfortunately, it's a lot farther from my house so we have to leave earlier than usual and it does not give me much time to do my homework, but I always get it done.

Tragedy at the Ring

Horse back riding isn't always sunshine and lollipops. When I was eight, I fell of a horse named Mocha.  Mocha decided to bolt towards a gate and I fell right over. I flew well above the horse's head, into the air and landed on my back. Fortunately, I only suffered scrapes and bruises and I felt very embarrassed

My Little Pony

My love for horses goes back a long time.  In fact, when I looked for pictures of me and horses I found dozens of them.  My mother has taken photos of me on plastic toy horses, wooden horses and documented my first riding lesson when I was six. From what i can remember my first riding lesson was the best day of my life. (Remember when you are six, you think that everyday is the best day of your life!)
